Two people were arrested, a stolen motorbike was seized and drugs were recovered during proactive police patrols in Potters Bar. Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) were in Mutton Lane on Saturday (7 February) when they spotted two people on a motorbike. The passenger, who was not wearing a helmet, was identified and located nearby a short time later. He was detained for a search, with a small amount of hash being seized. The motorbike and rider were then spotted by a PCSO on patrol in Sunnybank Road. Checks revealed the bike had been stolen and was on false plates. The rider also had no licence or insurance. Both males were subsequently arrested. An address in the town was then searched as part of the investigation, with assistance from Response team officers, locating: • Two blocks of cannabis resin • 90 cannisters of nitrous oxide • A taser • 46 bags of cannabis • Several mobile phones • Deal bags An 18-year-old man from Potters Bar remains on bail while investigations continue, having been arrested on suspicion of possession of nitrous oxide, possession of a Class B drug, theft of a motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of a taser. A 23-year-old man from Elstree has been charged with driving without a licence or insurance and is due to appear before court in March.
